Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or PTSD is classed as a form of anxiety, and can affect anyone who has been through or encountered a terrifying or harrowing experience.  It can follow such incidents as witnessing or being involved in crashes or accidents, being a victim of attack or abuse, consistent bullying and many others.

It is always important to talk to your GP if you feel you may be suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

For some, the effects won’t have a lasting impact, but for others traumatic experiences can set off a reaction which may last for months, or even years, affecting your ability to cope with everyday life, in some instances this can be known as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Symptoms can include feeling grief-stricken, depressed, anxious, guilty and angry, and you may even find yourself reliving the event again and again.

By working slowly and with the aid of the creative arts, sand tray, visualisation and meditation we can together begin to help you rebuild your life, we may not revisit the incidence or incidences we may just concentrate on helping you cope with everyday life and help you live a more calm, peaceful and happy life.
